My answer would be hands down Electric Light Orchestra or Steely Dan. I admire how both of them were able to dominate the radio waves the way they did while still having so many things about them that kept them dignified and interesting.

But I should probably elaborate that Pink Floyd isn't my "first favorite" band to begin with. Probably number 3 or 4.

Well, some of their song are really shit (most of them are on the two or three last albums) but in general, their songs are excellent

I have finally found another band to listen to, their name is,,
The Disco Biscuits.
They are a real good jam _band.
I don't have any cd's yet but they already have potential to get into my top 5 or 6 bands.
