My #2 would be a toss-up between Dire Straits & The Stones.

Second favorite would have to be The Beatles, come on can anyone besided Floyd beat Sgt. Pepper and The White Album?

"Lucy in the Sky"
"With a Little Help From Your Friends"
"Its Getting Better"
"Ricky Racoon"
"While My Guitar Gently Weeps"
"Dear Prudence"

By no means is it Floyd, but it is good.
After that I like the Eagles and some early Sabbath

Has to be Bowie for me. After that, well Jarvis is a good lyricist but I hated Pulp's last album (but then my fave Floyd album is The Wall).

Led Zeppelin are definately up there & maybe some of Lennon's records.

Of recent music Moby's ok, and any top guitarist gets my vote! Page, Van Halen, Hendrix et al.

my unspoken first (i guess "0.") would be Queen
first, of course, Pink Floyd
second, most likely The Who
anything beyond that, like the Beatles, Cream, U2, Hendrix follows in lesser degree in that order (past obsessions/loves), and Dylan, The Stones, follows even lesser, and even lesser beyond that is stuff like Radiohead, etc, etc. and though I listen to Avril a lot, I don't know where she factors in really, might just be a phase. I think she was like the second incarnation of Andrew W.K. for me...recent popular music overdose.

My absolute number one is PF, but I don't know about my 2nd place. As a band I would say Queen but it's actually a tie between three individual artists: Tom Waits, Franco Battiato, Fabrizio De André.

Pink Floyd may be my second favourite... I'm just not entirely sure who's #1, truth be told.

It's all the familiarity aspect.

It's OK
