| Re: A New Machine I don't mind them either. I think the movement from the end of the first one into Terminal Frost is awesome. That echoey metallic, empty voice beng replaced by the plodding almost calming beat and sounds of Terminal Frost moves me as much as anything else Floyd has done. There ya go Charade...I've explained myself.

| Re: A New Machine Would you call them songs? Ive got nothing against them but i see it as another way of Dave expressing his feelings to Roger. Terminal forst though aint that bad an instrumental.

| Re: A New Machine I think they're fine as interstitial pieces. Although my "theory" on AMLoR is different and I think it's the trapped feeling of knowing the outcome of a nuclear war (I go into detail in another AMLoR thread), I wouldn't call them bad songs. They can't stand alone, but they serve their purpose.

| Re: A New Machine Who cares if they don't stand alone, they're not meant to. Everything from Yet Another Movie to the end of the album is great and flows very nicely, it's my favourite 20 minutes of all Dave's solo efforts.
