NNJ: you're right, the N-word isn't in regular usage here in Blighty, or rather it wasn't until rap culture got here.

Your other term IS known and occasional used here (hurled, more like). Though even the cockneys' rhyming slang have made it "macca", as in "macaroon" you're more often likely to hear what GW's Administration was calling Pakistanis before they were soundly corrected by the protocol police, hurled at anyone seeming to belong to Asian Subcontinent ethnic groups.

Good old GW. Never fails to impress.

Some people consider Dark Side of the Moon a racist title because, of course, the word "dark" connotes "darkie," a common derogatory term for the darkly pigmented person of African descent.

As a black blues guitarist now 94 years old, I don't have the energy to get upset if somebody lets the word niggah slip out. In the USA, popular vernacular includes such a word and is usually meant as a compliment from one black person to another. Like "hey, you're my niggah, bro, I knew I could trust you."
