Best Floyd Guitar Solo EVER:::

Which is your favorite Pink Floyd guitar solo? The one that makes you feel like breaking down and crying or getting up and dancing. Im going with 'Marooned' as mine. I like the full song, but I think the shortened version on 'Echoes, the best of' is the best! Which would you pick?

My favorite solo is on Your Possible Pasts, it's so perfectly depressing.

My fave has got to be a live version of Comfortably Numb.

But, there's so many great ones it's so hard to choose just one!

Oh, and, just for the record, my fave solo is the bluesy-jam bit in the Atom Heart Mother suite, pardon me cuz I don't remember the section's name but I'm quite sure it's well in the second half.
Oh, nevermind, I'm sure every Floydian knows what I'm talking about.

"Stop! You're embarrasing me." - "Dr." Nick Riviera

Which Ones Pink.

I too quite like that bluesy/funky bit of AHM - I only have the CD to hand so can't identify the segment by name either - as well as the same sort of funky sequence in "Echoes".

Groovy Floydian,
Byron

Cheers for the welcome!! Taken me ages to find you over here, but I'll be back often now!

Been into Floyd as long as I can remember, seen them live in 87 at Wembley, and 94 at Earls Court. Probably never again, well, "Never say Never", isn't that what Mr Gilmour said in the Johnny Walker interview on Radio 2 a while back?

Steve

I think that song was Barrett's best.....I think Syd wrote it during his first big trip on LSD....

Did anyone see the VH1 special recently on Syd?? I'm amazed how emotional Rog, Dave and Rick still get when discussing him. Nick, however, seems to have gotten over it......
