Which is 'cheesy', Daves Rope Swing or Anderson Council?

I guess you mean A/C. If so... It was in the 80's. Most people didnt/dont know where the name came from. We told them it had to do with a water rights commission in Kansas.

AND... We had the president of the west coast Pink Floyd fan club drive all the way from Portland to see us. He thought we were perhaps a 'surrogate band', or P/F in disguise. He was dissappointed that we were neither but he loved the music, none of which was covers. It was all original music written by members of the band, just as is DAVES ROPE SWING.

I hope youll give the music a try on Soundclick.com. "Have 'u' got it yet?" is inspired by Roger Barrett's trying to explain a new song he had written, to Roger and Dave while working on Madcap Laugh's.

I agree, Rog had every right to question Rick's work, just look at his contribution to WYWh then listen to The Wall, he is sorely missed. Obviously he has it in him, he just didn't give it his all.

Dude i gotta admit Thorin that name is really cheese, meaning I agree, not that your name Thorin13 is cheesey, cause i can see how that can be easily misunderstood, and well on the topic of your name well nevermind

FloydWright... I just looked at this thread for the first time, and let me say that I COMPLETELY dig what you're saying about Wright being Roger's opposite. The whole Jungian concept of the Shadow. The Anima. Subtility vs Acidity. RW vs RW. And all that jazz.

After this and the synaesthesia thread, I wonder--have you got a background in psychology? For me, it is a strong interest (though a hobby, and I do not claim to be an expert! ).

I can say from experience that there are cases (even if this wasn't one) where being with a sort of "shadow" of yourself can be very trying, to say the least!

So REGARDLESS of whether or not Mr. Wright was having problems...Mr. Waters' behaviour was inexcusable. That is not how you ought to treat someone who's having problems, because that just makes the problems worse. And that is wrong.

I'm starting to worry about you FloydWright

Oh, dear!!! I've never heard this expression before. That is quite nasty!

For fixxlevy, who praised my "continuity", I suppose I should take that as a compliment. (Though in that case I'd say that whether or not you agree with the RIGHTNESS of it, RW certainly singled out Mr. Wright for "special" treatment.)

Roger Waters was under huge pressure to complete The Wall and he thought Wright was not there with him, thats where the breakdown began. As said by Roger himself.

Re: Did Roger Waters go crazy?

Where was this pressure coming from?

I have a distinct feeling where. I draw on my own experience to say that self-imposed pressure (especially when extreme) can make you just about crazy, and likely to lash out at anyone you perceive to be interfering, whether they are or not.
