I have the inferior ' red ' version ! It does seem a bit senseless in releasing it, possibly because he released a DVD and CD during the American tour he felt another release for the Southern Hemisphere was warranted.....anyway, something else to collect.

By the way....no disrespect to Roger but the last track is awful....The Boys Calling.

( is my opinion and my opinion only, no correspondence will be entered into ! )

Hello Fans

introducted that I have no Roger's solo albums, I want to buy one, is better to wait for the "Best of" or buy a normal album like "amused to death"?

THANK YOU!

Amused To Death is ALL you need to have from Rogers' production. (Ciao dall'Italia Inzagol! Dai un'occhiata al mio sito!)

don't you forget that it's just the demo, the one as the soundtrack is a lovely calm song.
may I suggest downloading the mp3 or I'll be called a fake fan?

I'm really upset about this album. I've ordered it from Australia for $15 and awaiting its arrival but I think that it's not a good representation of Waters at all. I would have prefered an album with The Bravery of Being Out Of Range (live version), WGW3, no 'Too Much Rope', Amused To Death (oy, how it needs to be on there...), studio version of 'Lost Boys,' et cetera. Whomever picked out the tracks for this compilation must be insane. I love Roger, and I'm buying this album merely to support his music, but, damn, put out something 'worthy' next time!

Well, if it's true that this is only "Volume I", we can still hope that "Volume II" will be filling the gaps .

Anyway, the song, Flickering Flame, is really beautiful and very moving.

Oh, by the way, Which One's Pink?

Angry

I don't get it. Does anybody know if it will come out in the states any time soon?

Or where I could order it on the net at a reasonable price and not have to wait a month for it to arrive?

Info. would be helpful. Thanks!

See ya, as they disembarked in '45!

stop blaming roger for this piece of crap. the record company is just trying to cash in, he probably had nothing to do with it. they needed something to go out to accompany the world tour, so they threw this hunk of junk together.

For those of you who claim that I am a huge Roger ass-kisser. Let this be proof, I have not bought, nor do I intend to buy this album.

A best of is NEVER going to be better than a regular release because they are CONCEPT albums. Record companies are usually behind these things, as Not Now John said. This music is not suited for compilations, as Waters has said. I never considered buying this. Even if it really was his best. Which it's not.

Only reason I got this album was because Towers Of Faith was on it and it's a really great song. Too bad the When The Wind Blows soundtrack is OOP. I don't own it.

Let's hope Folded Flags ends up on Volume II!

Roger said himself somewhere that the compilation was not really his idea and as a fan he wouldn't have bought it. Can't remember where I read that though.

The limited edition one is the red one - all you get is the red slipcase which is pointless.

I'm glad they put the ITF version of Perfect Sense on it though. UK version hasn't got WGW but really you'd need all 3 parts so its in context (the lyrics deliberately progress).

Like S.Goode said, you've gotta get the albums themselves, they're concept albums. For that reason I don't really like Echoes either. Still its nice to have the demo of Flickering Flame on the album, even though its apparently now a lot better (well it IS a demo)

I agree with those who lay claim to the view that its the MARKET FORCES behind this release......"I think Rog would have blurted out:-my manager and agent are both busy on the phone;selling my catalogue to ToneDeaf Record Company Chiefs!!!
Who needs a "Travelling Wilbury" style trick on fans to label it as Vol.1;whreas we all know there's no vol.2 that will ever be released....
