There's a couple of UK music-related magazines that may be of interest to Pink Floyd fans at the moment, both with a March 2010 cover date. The first, in Record Collector (http://www.recordcollectormag.com/), has a feature looking at the background to the discovery (and recovery) of the flawed but beautiful footage of Pink Floyd making their debut on the BBC's Top Of The Pops (http://www.brain-damage.co.uk/latest...screening.html). Their performance of See Emily Play was aired twice at the British Film Institute at the start of January (http://www.brain-damage.co.uk/latest...screening.html) to a rapt audience, the first time it'd been seen by the public in over 42 years! The article looks at the painstaking work it took to get from disintegrating tape, onto the big screen. The other publication of interest is the equally respected magazine The Word (http://www.wordmagazine.co.uk/). In a somewhat prescient article, David Hepworth takes a detailed look at the decline of the recording studio, which are closing every week. Abbey Road, the most famous of all, may be next . Of course, events this week have shown that Abbey Road has been saved, but the fate of many others isn't so certain. It's a fascinating article, and of particular interest to Pink Floyd fans is a (previously unpublished?) picture of the band during the 1975 WYWH sessions, sitting behind an Abbey Road mixing desk. Both magazines are available now in the UK, and in selected countries worldwide as an import.
