| Re: If current Pink Floyd were to Unplugged... I really wonder what WtIO would sound like "unplugged"...haunting, I would imagine. That would be VERY cool, a real privilege to hear, if they were to ever do that.

| Re: If current Pink Floyd were to Unplugged... How do you play the slide guitar part on The Great Gig in the Sky with an acoustic guitar? I already tried, but it's sure really hard... |

| Re: If current Pink Floyd were to Unplugged... you just do it the same way as on a regular guitar you get a slide and pick. ![]()

| Re: If current Pink Floyd were to Unplugged... I don't think PF could pull off an unplugged show, especially if they were doing there early songs.

| Re: If current Pink Floyd were to Unplugged... Synths are great, but the real musical strengths of the songs are in the chord structures and overlapping melodies. It would be a VERY different Floyd experience, but I think it would be just as amazing hearing them do it acoustic as it was the first time you heard it on the record. Pardon my post count, been lurking for ages but never posted  |

| Re: If current Pink Floyd were to Unplugged... In my selection I picked mainly tracks that would lend themselves easily to an Unplugged set. However, given how Clapton transformed Layla, maybe less accousticy songs could be adapted with amazing results. For example, a new arrangement of Sorrow, or a strum-along shortened Echoes maybe? Also Unplugged shouldn't be taken literally - most bands have been allowed the likes of Hammond Organs to flesh out the sound... |

| Re: If current Pink Floyd were to Unplugged... Well, since a B-3 Hammond organ is not a digital instrument, perhaps it would be allowed. Maybe they could provide a real B-3 for Mr. Wright! Ooh, that would be cool!!!

| Re: If current Pink Floyd were to Unplugged... i was kind of watching an unplugged with jay z (don't ask me why i wasn't really watching it i was kind of passing and stopped there for a minute) and one guy had a hammond organ. so maybe they are allowed.

| Re: If current Pink Floyd were to Unplugged... Like I said somewhere else, Dave essentially DID an accoustic set in his concerts last year and this year. The textural sounds could be replaced with a choir and string / wind instruments. Rick could restrict himself to piano (if he's good enough!!!). I think it would sound awesome. Different, but refreshing. Of course some songs lend themselves to this more than others, but it would still be possible.

| Re: If current Pink Floyd were to Unplugged... Hmmmm.... It would be so nice if they could perform some of their early stuff. I haven't heard very much of it so I'm just curious about what it sounds like. I don't think it'd ever happen though . |

| Re: If current Pink Floyd were to Unplugged... Speaking of "unplugged", there is a bluegrass album out there where they do acoustic versions of Pink Floyd favorites. It is on my "to buy" list.
