Former Pink Floyd manager Peter Jenner interviewed

Last week (http://www.brain-damage.co.uk/latest...on-bbc-ra.html), we told you that former Pink Floyd manager Peter Jenner was to appear on BBC Radio 2's Radcliffe and Maconie Show on Monday (May 10th). For once, the show just had Mark Radcliffe presenting it, and in the event turned into an almost two hour retrospective that Floyd fans will enjoy. Inspired by Rob Chapman's highly rated new book, Syd Barrett: A Very Irregular Head (http://www.brain-damage.co.uk/latest...-uk-press.html), the show starts with a lengthy interview with Robyn Hitchcock (who performs Gigolo Aunt ), before Peter Jenner arrives in the studio and talk concentrates on the early years of the band. Jenner proves an easy going and fascinating guest, reminiscing on the heady days of the 1960s. Finally, there's an extract from Mark Radcliffe's 2008 interview with David Gilmour around the time of the Gdansk release, and Gilmour's performance of Syd's Here I Go . You can catch the show for the next few days - it should be available until Monday - through the BBC's iPlayer service (http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode...ow_10_05_2010/) via their website and also on Virgin Media, and is certainly worth catching if you can.
