About a week ago my dad's mom and my mom's dad died within three days of each other. While I was in town for my grandmother's funeral, my bird fucked off and I had a falling out with two other close friends. Maybe deaths don't always come in threes but it seems that hail falls in storms.

As far as your particular question, I hope the answer is not Bob Dylan.

Coincidentally, I was one of those kids in 1968. Shame there is no archive of it for me to show everyone, but it was a very good day with loads of lovely gifts.

Okay, I embarrassed the hell out of my parents with my response to Art's questions, but I also got loads of laughs.

My child-sitter at the time warned me that Art might ask what I would do if given $100, and I was advised to say I would put it in the bank and save it for my education. If Art liked the response, and he tended to love the aforementioned bollocks, he would then whip a crisp Benjamin out and hand it to the child.

On the day, I replied that I would buy myself a metal-flaked Cadillac. Needless to say, I didn't get the cash. I was seven, what do you expect?

Art should have given you the C-note. That's a much better answer than savings and
would have got a lot more laughs...and would likely have made it to Art Linkletter's 100 Funniest Kid Moments
and you would today have that video for posterity.
