Hm. Seems to me that Dennis really rates his own thread. Think I'll go dig out Blue Velvet or Easy Rider.

Probably so.

I was just checking out his filmography and saw that he was in not only Rebel Without A Cause but also Giant, JD's last and two most famous.

Re: Dennis Hopper's Last Ride

I enjoyed his later roles in many films portraying the tormented madman and his debut performance in Rebel W/O A Cause;

You think Giant was bigger than East of Eden? Anyway Dean was only featured in three films. Hopper was a huge fan of both Dean and Brando, and managed to star with both of them in his career.

RIP

Although I've seen East of Eden twice, I've never seen Giant, so I can't judge the "bigness" of one against the other. What I meant was that Giant, besides Dean, featured the (at the time) Megastars Liz Taylor and Rock Hudson as well as the also-besides-Dean-tragic Sal Mineo. That fact seems to me to have had people talking more about it over the years than EoE.
