Re: The Wall live

Thanks, Which One's Pink?

I'll have to give it a closer listen. I was debating (w/ myself) as to whether that was really Dave on lead guitar. It sure sounds like him, but something keeps nagging away at me telling me it isn't.

If only BoaB could remember his Earl's Court concert better...

Re: The Wall live

Hah! I've got news for you, terminal old buddy: I DO remember the Earl's Court concert as if it were yesterday - instead of 21 years ago - and I can adamantly confirm, without the meerest hint of a shadow of a glimmer of a doubt that during "Mother" David played electric lead and Snowy White played acoustic.

Or was it David on acoustic and Snowy on lead? :???:

No, I'm certain David played lead and Snowy acoustic. Absolutely positive.

So, there's your answer.

Re: The Wall live

Uhm, Byron, wasn't Rog also on acoustic on that song? :???:

I couldn't be there (I'm only 19, after all), it's just that, you know, I see pix of him on acoustic in the IS THERE ANYBODY OUT THERE booklet and I know he performs it on acoustic guitar rather thatn on bass during his current tour, so I figured it might have been this way back then, too...

Not that I will lose my sleep over this, anyway...

Re: The Wall live

Look, didn't I just write that I was absolutely certain?

No worries, matey. In the final analysis, at the end of the day, all things being equal, how much does it REALLY matter?

Floyd on!
Byron

I was there, okay? How much further convincing do you people need?

It is as I remember it, until hypnotic regression proves I was actually just being abused in the toilets of Earl's Court during an NSYNC concert.

Re: The Wall live

I bet Byron will be happy that you enjoy his pain so much. By the way Byron, is Justin Timberlake as dreamy in person as he is on TV and the many photos I have of him and his album inserts and... I think I may have said too much.

Re: The Wall live

Justin who? Dreamy? How should I know? :???:

I was more than likely curled up, catatonic in the corner of the toilets - like some rat that has just escaped being eaten by a snake (sound familiar?) - murmurring "Calm blue ocean. Calm blue ocen. Calm blue ocean. etc."

How can they even have concerts? They're probably just dancing and lip syncing to the mix guy playing the CD off the PA.
