I've found myself listening to TOOL less and less, but I still think they are an amazing band.

And, for some reason, I can see them doing an amazing cover of the complete 'Pros And Cons' album.

Actually, that would rule. I can definitely see Tool's eclectic mix of Eastern and Western musical motifs lending itself well to the mood of Pros and Cons. People complain about the album only having one chord or whatever, but that's a definite plus if you're performing a raga-like exposition, the likes of which Tool are best at. And Carey/Jones/Chancellor have rhythmic dexterity and improvisational virtuosity in spades, which is a prerequisite for pulling it off (as Clapton's notable absence from the 1985 tour proved).

I think it would be great. There'd have to be some radical reworking of the instrumentation though.

I like A perfect Circle more than tool, but I enjoy tool as well. Lateralus is a really awesome album. Something about the way Maynard's voice goes with the heavy music can almost put you into a trance...
