Thanks for the warning. I listened to PULSE once and had a dream about the concert too. I think something like Terminal Frost was playing in the background as well.

I also listened to something else that I don't quite remember and had another Floyd-inspired vision: actually meeting them in person and Syd too ( he was very nice and didn't look too bad either as I recall)!! Now that's what I call a trip!

Sadly it was only a dream *sigh*

For me, ALL their songs invoke images of something but it has to be the 70s albums that bring the most vivid images. Just listening to them is a trip in itself.

BTW Loupy, I still want a word with you.......

Red Bull gives you wings but Floyd gives you utter heaven,

I'll put my two cents in...
I agree that the first disc of Ummagumma is very good to listen to in the dark. I have only done this once, at a very high volume... I began to fall asleep at the beginning of "Careful With That Axe, Eugene", and then without notice Roger started screaming and the rest of the band began to play all loud. Needless to say, this woke me up pretty well! However, I only own Ummagumma on vinyl, and it's pretty crappy copy at that. So it began to skip, which totally ruined the experience.
As for falling asleep to music, Dark Side of the Moon is perhaps the best one to fall asleep to. Also Wish You Were Here, especially when you start it at the beginning. "Shine On" (Parts 1-5) lulls me to sleep so nicely that I'm more often than not asleep by "Welcome to the Machine".
