Anyone have an opinion? Personally, I strongly believe Dark Side is the by far best to hallucinate to...though I could just be weird. But God forbid you fall asleep to anything by Floyd...that's quite a trip...

I like Echoes. Sometimes i play it in the dark, with some candles around, when there's a storm. Don't ask guys...

Actually Pedge, that's pretty cool. I suggest listening to the live disc of UmmaGumma though. Saucerful and Axe are great that way.

Yeah, Saucerful and Echoes are great for storms with the lights out, personally I've always thought of Echoes as a ghost story-telling song, especially when it gets real eerie like.

Phew! I knew you guys would understand

I especially like the part where around the 13 min mark or so, were you only here wailing and distant weird sounds. Then all of a sudden you can hear Dave's guitar starting to siff through, then Nick comes out with the cymbols...ahhh...amazing stuff!!

I like the part where the "darkness" first starts to clear, where that first B-minor filters back in through all that wild noise.

Sometimes it's so beautiful--both the sound of it and the light I imagine--that I am moved to tears.

Whales... that wailing is the sound of whales under the ocean. Kind of depressing actually, it always makes me feel lonely. I always think about how large the ocean must be for you to hear the wailing of whales echo everywhere. It kind of makes me feel lonely when I hear that part.
I prefer to put on Piper when I want to hallucinate.

I definitely have to say the live album on ummagumma. The whole album is trippy as hell but especially careful with that axe eugene. Its a good thing to crank that song up extremely loud when you know your neighbors have their windows open. It freaks people out real bad if they don't understand it.

I've only tried it once and the album was DSotM. I started the album when I was going to bed. When On the Run started playing, I had to pull up my sheets real high!(It scared the crap out of me  ) I couldn't remember anything after Money, so that's probably when I fell asleep.

Next time, I'll try something really relaxing in the dark like WYWH.
