Dave Blood (bassist for Dead Milkmen)... RIP

I don't know if any of you particularly like the band the Dead Milkmen, but their bassist, Dave Blood, committed suicide during the night of March 9th, 2004.

I, for one, loved the Dead Milkmen and their unique brand of punk rock. I first heard their album 'Big Lizard in My Backyard' when I was a wee youngin' (12 or so), and maintained a liking for them all these years.

Dave Blood's bass work was a big part of the band's music, and his melodic basslines were often the Milkmen's trademark.

I'll miss him.

I've never listened to them. But I hate it when band members die. Like when Layne Staley died in 2002, I was so bummed.

I wrote 'Layne Staley - 1967-2002 - RIP' on one of the bathroom walls at school that day. I was pretty bummed as well.

BTW, you'd probably dig DM. Pick up the album I mentioned above.

Bobby Hatfield of the Righteous Brothers died of a heart attack a couple of days ago.

I didn't know about him. Sad.
