I saw the floyd live twice in London 1974 on the Dark Side of the Moon tour and again on the Animals tour wasn't the pig fantastic? I would love to go and see Roger Waters live but don't have the money for a ticket as I am unemployed and unable to even get an interview these days.

Re: Hello from a newbie Hi from a fellow newbie, I kneel at your feet for going to both the Dark Side and Animals. Of course I was 4 in '74 and born to Southern parents that listened to both types of music....Country and Western. I would love to hear details, if you remember...not that you're older than me, I just some of the Division Bell concert in '94 is a little fuzzy.

Hi Cissy, Wow both country and western lucky you (not). My parents were into swing but they encouraged me and my brothers to find our own musical tastes, I was listening to Buddy Holly from the age of 4 and then the Beatles - my mum however refused to allow my cousin to take me to see them in 1964 as I was only 10 Back to your question - can I remember much about the two concerts - well I remember the dark side of the moon was a really long concert - the first part of which was old material interspersed with some new songs the group were trying out before recording them I think shine on you crazy diamond featured at this concert but I can't be sure both due to my situation at that time and the length of time .since 1974. After a brief intermission the band came back and ran through Dark Side of the Moon in its entirety, completely awesome. Dave Gilmour and Roger Waters knew when to cross in front of the screen and when to step back to the side of the stage so the film was viewable from the entire auditorium! When I saw them on the Animals tour I remember the inflatable pig more than anything else because I was taking a lot of chemicals into my system at that time but would not have remained had the music not been excellent. I would have loved to see the Wall live but missed that every time. Hope this has helped somewhat and keep on enjoying the Floyd. Dave
