Re: 3 Doors Down

Any other Floyd listeners pick this up...

"I took a walk around the world to
Ease my troubled mind
I left my body laying somewhere
In the sands of time
I watched the world float to the dark
Side of the moon
I feel there is nothing I can do, yeah

I watched the world float to the
Dark side of the moon
After all I knew it had to be something
To do with you
I really don’t mind what happens now and then
As long as you’ll be my friend at the end"

Any thoughts..??

Re: 3 Doors Down

"Dark side of the moon" is a phrase that's been around for awhile. Might have something to do with Floyd, but really I think it's in there cause it sounds cool.

Re: 3 Doors Down

I agree, dark side of the moon was a saying from before Dark Side of the Moon. 3 Doors Down are so bad they are listened to with the express purpose of mocking it.

Re: 3 Doors Down

Okay guys...if you open your minds and get over the "commercial band" idiology out of it...
I reckon "I watched the world float to the Dark Side of the Moon" actually might have something to do with the fact that PF were not a big band before Dark Side. Then when it came out, the world just click to their music. Thats what i thought.

Re: 3 Doors Down

I don't know that that is what they are saying, I mean do you have the whole song, cause you might be assuming things. Then again I may be full of horsehock, it has happened before.

Re: 3 Doors Down

If your analysis is true, Pedge, shouldn't at least some of the lyrics in other places reflect something to do with the music industry, or the 60s/70s era, or SOMETHING that has anything remotely to do with what you're saying that lyric means?

I'm not saying you're wrong, per se, I'm just saying.... well, okay, I'm saying you're wrong.
