well I just joined here because im in search of a song I cant figure out what it is...

I got a pink floyd screensaver (which unfortunatelly I cant find anymore...) but it was simply less than 1mb and it was a bunch of pictures.

the mystery is that there was 3 songs in it, probably MIDI files (sounded like midis) the first 2 were known songs however, the 3rd one... and the best, I never figured out which one it was but it was very good.

I wonder if any of you better fan than myself figured this one out.

oh and googling, i remember the picture of all the women painted in pink floyd albums displaying in the screensaver

I think I had that screensaver long ago. The track you may be trying to fathom, I think may have been Your Possible Pasts.

nope...not the one yet.... I will definatelly check my backup cds see if I can still find it....

I'm pretty sure it came from the Final Cut... The Gunner's Dream maybe? It's now driving me mad.

well its just this week end, I was making order in my shed and listenning to dark side... and then that just came to mind... there wasnt any lyrics of course in that midi song but the melody was awesome... I think I had tried to find it a while back and couldnt but I will check back tonight... worst case, if I find it, Ill try to see if my IPOD app can pick up the song.

I'll check final cut tonight to if a song sounds like it...

I had that screen saver for a long time... until my HD crashed... I saved it until I moved to my house and hoped one day to use forensic programs to extract my precious data (and the pink floyd screensaver)... but It ended up in the garbage.



but be sure that I will definatelly let you know when the mystery is solved.

I downloaded a bunch of midi files from most pink floyd albums... Ill check in there see if something ressembles.



its not that important in my life but you know sometimes those little unknown things that would make you feel a bit better if you knew... lol...

I'm pretty certain it's not a Floydian tune, tho it's certainly Floyd-inspired.

The screensaver I had was a different one (from around 10 or 12 years ago), I thought I still had it on CD-ROM but I can't find it anywhere now. (It did have a tune from Final Cut as one of the midi's.)

BTW I'm a fan of about 40 years standing, and I know the back catalogue inside out!

yeah, I really wonder... if you check the file, the certificate was registered to a certain Danne...

never got to see them LIVE tho...

you like the song tho ? my ipod shazzam gave me a few tunes which I will also check out but MIDI's and shazzam don't seem to work together... lol

I only ever got to see them live once, much to my shame, and that was at Earl's Court in 1994.

BTW I've been working on compiling a comprehensive catalogue for many years, so if you have any Q's about such matters don't be afraid to ask!
