Re: Which "Rare" early Floyd track...

I've seen a so-called "book about Pink Floyd" where Sid was in 75% and Syd in 25%. Also there was Dick instead of Rick sometimes. The release date of The Wall was 1980 and Roger Waters left the band in 1982 according to that book. I decided not to buy it after spending about ten minutes in the bookstore, laughing. I saved my money for a folding picture-book I was planning to send the author. But then... I think I bought the SP "Not Now John" instead of it.

Yeah. And I thought that the writers must know how to read and write before making a book. I was wrong. This one either doesn't know how to read or he's trying to pass on some strange cosmic-prophecy.

That's the only problem of The Beatles.

That makes it much clearer. I still don't believe that Syd played with the Beatles. I'm listening to the track you are referring to right now.

Re: Which "Rare" early Floyd track...

Scream Thy Last Scream is their best unreleased song. Vegetable Man and Seabirds are up there though. I had a bootleg studio version of Vegetable Man, but I lost it when my computer crashed. Only have a so so sounding BBC version of it now. I couldn't get Vegetable Man out of my head for weeks after watching the VH-1 legends special.

Syd Barett never, ever played with the Beatles.

I have heard said track, I even commented on this site, somewhere.

Re: Which "Rare" early Floyd track...

Yes. It's called "What a Shame Mary Jane". It's the weirdest track on it, but still not as weird as Syd could make it.
