What Have I Got Here? I was at a record shop today since I've recently found an interest in vinyl; I'd found a copy of The Wall really cheap the week before, I bought a turntable, and I was looking for some stuff to try out. First thing I got was a copy of Animals, Near-Mint, for 15 bucks. Love it to death. But here's where it gets interesting.... I also bought a copy of Dark Side. I was expecting a normal vinyl, and when I opened it up, a bunch of extra stuff fell out; specifically two very large posters and two conjoined (and rather ugly) stickers. I honestly haven't gotten a clue as to what the value of these things are. I don't know if they are common, limited, whatever.... I looked them up online and really I haven't found much. Posters look very nice, and while they haven't got any rips/tears, you can tell that they're old. I honestly find that the stickers look very awful but that's a design choice and they're still in good condition.

Re: What Have I Got Here? Hello there. Congrats on finding those vinyls. Maybe if you post a picture of the items it will be easier for fellow floydians to help identify it, as well as what they may be worth.

Re: What Have I Got Here? I believe that as long as the vinyl was pressed, the posters and stickers were included. The never went out of print. A first run with good condition posters might be worth a few dollars more but the bloody album sold so many copies that it just can't be worth a lot. If you had an 8 track of Dark Side... and the order slip for the posters, that might be kind of neat. I bought my Dark Side...in the mid '80s and it had the posters and stickers. The stuff that's worth money are albums with slight variations in the pressing, banding, labeling, country of origin or company that may have been contracted to press it instead of EMI. That sort of thing. Sometimes albums purchased through record clubs are worth a bit more because there are a lot less of those. One bought from Columbia House would have Columbia House somewhere on the sleeve which gives it an edge over the store bought counterpart. I'm more of a rare Beatles collector so I have more knowledge of their variations than and that might be found in PF releases.

| Re: What Have I Got Here? They are not worth much and the posters are widely distributed. The fact your posters might be from the original DSOTM vinyl...that could be different. You really need to show photos and let me know what the ID is on the record cover. Quote:

Re: What Have I Got Here? I have to agree with others on this subject, Most copies of DSOTM came with the posters and stickers, However some did not. Like my UHQR copy did not have them. Go Figure
