| Re: Pink Floyd and U2 Simalar? That was a criticism of Take It Back when it was first released, that the riff was the same as WTSHNN. Having said that, The Edge lifted his entire guitar sound from David Gilmour, so it's a bit of an empty criticism. The Wall had just been released when U2 were starting out and Edge didn't look too far for that trademark U2 sound. This is actually confirmed in U2's biography, Unforgettable Fire, published in 1988. The use of the echo pedal is pretty obvious anyway. The review (from Uncut, I think) also said that Take It Back lifted from Big Country. I'm a Big Country fan, and I couldn't hear any similarity there. |
