It sounds almost unbelievable, but the line-up for Barbeque 67 featured The Move, Cream, Pink Floyd & Jimi Hendrix and tickets were just £1! Now playwright Andy Barrett is working with New Perspectives Theatre Company to develop a script based on the infamous event and we’re hosting a Reunion Barbeque on Sat 3 September at The Red Lion in Spalding for people who attended the festival and have memories and stories to share. Sounds Force Five, a local band who were on the bill of the original event, will be there, and there will be music, photos and the chance to win an overnight stay in the Jimi Hendrix Room at The Red Lion, where he stayed in 1967. If you were at Barbeque 67 and want to register to attend the Reunion Barbeque or you want to get in touch with Andy to share your memories, please email
