Ummagumma, disc 1, IMO. The post-Waters live albums sound more lifeless than anything else. Pompeii doesn't count as it has yet to be released in 'album' format.

FELLOWS...I´M A BOOTLEG LOVER. "THE PERFECT DAY - BOSTON 77" IS WONDERFUL.
"HOLES IN THE SKY - CANADA 75" ...
I´M BECOMING A ROIO ADDICT...HEHEHEHE.

TALKING ABOUT THE OFFICIAL RELEASES...I THINK "PULSE" IS THE BEST BUT "ITAOT" IS ONE THAT I DIDN´T HEARD CAREFULLY YET.

Ok this is my first post ever since i have only just signed up. Yep im a noob.
I have recently bought an old "the wall" video and so far i've watched it twice I love how it expresses so many things in all kinds of ways.
Does anyone else feel the same?

In The Flesh is the best, but also Pulse and Pompeii.

The Pompeii version of Careful With That Axe, Eugene is fantastic. Better than the studio version.

Yep! Except for the clicking that makes Sheep unlistenable to me this is just great. I love the versions of Shine On You Crazy Diamond Parts 6-9 which is extended out over 20 minutes with David and Snowy jamming as well as Money which is the best version of the song i've heard, and Pigs is also given a bit more time to run around and its great.

Though on my copy i moved it out to 3 discs how the show actually went, disc 1 is the Animals set, disc 2 the WYWH set and disc 3 the encores. This way they actually say "we're taking a break now" after disc 1 and their goodbyes after disc 2

Other good roio is "Smoking Blues" which supposedly was going to be an official live album. Going by the quality of the recording it definitely could have, just as good sound as ummagumma live. And the long versions of Fat Old Sun, Embryo and Cymbaline are great I really don't know what to think of the Atom Heart Mother without the brass and choir but it is shortened to 18 minutes and doesn't drag on as much. Definitely 2 live recordings worth searching for

First off man where do you get it from, the first time I saw Floyd was on the Animals tour in Philly in 77 I was still in high school and it went Animals, WYWH , Money and US and them. The only boot I got is One of these days from 1971 in Paris. Its cool cause it has Echoes on it and One of these days, but the only other song is Fat old sun which has kinda grown on me but not one of my faves. But my fave live non boot is either Pompeii or Ummagumma even though Pulse has better sound but theres no Echoes and the older stuff is more raw.So if I was on a desert island an could only have one I'd say it would have to be Pompeii.

If I could only find a copy of Smoking Blues, I'd sure check it out. The ROIO options here in Finland aren't what I would call superb (I do admit though that I don't search hard enough).
