| Re: The worst song from this era It's still Lost for Words hands down. Never ceases to amaze me how much of an utter mess the lyrics and sound effects are. But most glaringly, the arrangement is so painfully similar to Wish You Were Here, that this song alone is the strongest possible argument for the case that Pink Floyd are a creatively spent force. Yikes. A definite "fast-forward" song in any context.

| Re: The worst song from this era A New Machine is ugh. The lyrics are interesting enough, and I like them- but musically it's a failure. I always skip those two tracks.

| Again, i know this is old but I had to get a post in .I would say Dogs of war, its not a bad song atall but its one that i wouldnt make a point of listening too. Im really surprised at how much the Division bell gets slagged. I think its an amazing album. Keep talking is the first floyd song i ever heard, my dad let me hear it when i was 8 (back in 94) and ive been hooked on floyd ever since, i actually thought it was cool the way they had hawkings voice in the song, amazing solo, dont know why anyone would bash this song. I also love a great day for freedom, amazing vocals and another great solo from gilmour. I would say the only track i wasnt crazy about was "take it back" but i still liked it! I loved marooned and coming back to life, bother amazing songs, and High Hopes was just a masterpiece! Im not sure because im new but i think the people that bash the division bell may be the ones who are right up waters ass and feel the band is not the same without him, Gilmour got me playing the guitar and hes my fav memeber, but after watching the making od DSOTM dvd i would have to say Waters is a very cool guy. | Re: The worst song from this era I agree. "Dogs Of War" is my favorite track from AMLOR, great sax, great guitar, good to listen to angry.

| Re: The worst song from this era The worst song for me from this era has to be Dogs of War...dreadful. Not even the sax solo can save it, IMO. |

| Re: The worst song from this era it has to be a new machine part 2 simply because its 30 seconds long. Dogs of war isnt that bad towards the end. But keep talking... probably my least favorite song on TDB.

What?!?! Have you two gone absolutely mad, or what? I think Keep Talking is probably one of the best songs on the album -- the PULSE version is even better.

Yep, New Machine Part 2 it's just too short to even get into it.

| Re: The worst song from this era I voted "keep talking". I havent heard but a few of those in the poll, but that song is pretty darn terrible...matter of fact, it hurts my ears. On the other hand, Lost for Words is a good song, and really doesn't belong in the poll. Still not very Floydian, but a good one from Gilmour. |
