Final Part of Dogs

I've been learning to play the rhythm part of 'Dogs' on an acoustic guitar, down tuning each string a step. I found a great tutorial video on Youtube that sums up the whole 17 minutes in under 3 minutes, and have just about put the whole thing together.

The only part I'm not sure of is the very end. The "who was........,who was......." part. I looked at the tab on here and it says the chords are F C Dm, but I'm guessing this is for the electric guitar which as far as I know has a normal tuning?

How can I play this part on my down tuned acoustic? I could probably figure something out by finding the notes that make up those chords but my music theory knowledge is poor and I wouldn't really know what I was doing. I'm hoping somebody here already has a way of playing it that they can share with me?

Re: Final Part of Dogs

That's interesting. I've only ever played it with just a "drop D" tuning. Where only the low E string is tuned down a step. So when I play an F chord, I wrangle my finger into barring 3 strings!
And when I play the C chord, I use my thumb to note E on the second fret. As I usually play by ear, I prolly never do it "properly" but I'm happy anyway.
My thoughts are, if it sounds good, it's bitchen! but if it sounds bad, it's crap!

Does any of this make any sense? let me know if it doesn't and I'll try and explain it better.

Anyway, is it played originally on a entirely downtuned guitar? It just occurred to me that it's probably easier! Hmmm,,,,

in that case,,,the F chord would be a G chord "shape" and the C chord would be a D "chord" shape. And the Dm is obviously an Em "shape".
There! are you confused? I am.

Re: Final Part of Dogs

Yeah I get what you're saying. I'm gonna have a play around with it today and see if I can get something that sounds right.

I've heard of people playing it with a drop D tuning but I believe the album version is with a full down tuning, though that's only going by the tabs and videos I've seen for it. I certainly can't tell by ear or anything.

Cheers for the reply.
