Animals on Pink Vinyl?!

Hello all.
Does anybody here know about a vinyl pressing of Animals with a pink outer sleeve, a pink inner sleeve, and the record itself pressed on pink vinyl?
I saw it on eBay and was wondering if anyone had heard of it.
(I'm thinking 'FAKE' but I vaguely remember reading about this release somewhere else as being sanctioned by the record company/Floyd themselves. So who knows?)

Hi, hope this helps, I found it on the net:

"What colored vinyl is available?
Dark Side of the Moon: Blue, Clear, White, Pink, picture disc
The Wall: Orange
Atom Heart Mother: Grey (smoke coloured), Plum
Wish You Were Here: Blue, clear, picture disc
A Momentary Lapse Of Reason: White
Animals: Pink
One Slip, On the Turning Away, Money 12": Pink
The Division Bell: Transparent Blue, Red [? I've heard of one of these]
'94 Barrett EP: Pink
And in Japan the first 6 albums (except for Ummagumma) were all pressed in red vinyl (each as a limited edition of 500 copies)"

So, next time if you bump into one on e-bay, you'll know it's probably not a fake!

See ya, there was a king who ruled the land, his majesty was in command!

There was another band that had their record in pink vinyl. I can't remember the band (they were one of the 90s heavy metal victims because they only had one hit as far as I can remember) but the song was Three Little Pigs (inspiration from Floyd maybe?). I remember getting it for the novelty of different coloured vinyl but I also liked the song. The video was pretty cool as well.

Red Bull gives you wings but I sure as hell don't,

BTW when did Animals appear on pink vinyl?

I've got the DSOTM white version, Animals on pink, TDB on blue, Works on pink and WYWH on green. I've also got one of their 80's singles in pink. Oh yeah, and a DJ promo WYWH (#337) in green also.

Trumpet,

Mark

Yes.

There's stuff that I didn't know had been kept in some other folders. If you want to email me with any of your (rather esoteric) ideas or opinions, feel free, Sarah old Chap.

Cheers,

Mark

Nope. It's just rhetoric.

Good natured bonhomie, if you will.

I just watched the roger waters band dvd....does anybody else think he's gone to far!!!!!! The cheesy guitar player wearing the velvet jump suit is playing a left handed guitar strung high to low as opposed to low to high....where the hell did he get this guy .....Guilmour is lauging his ass off while this guy tries to duplicate his sound....I guess I'm just a die hard Guilmour fan

Gone too far because of his Guitarist? Telling him how to dress and how to string his guitar would be going too far. He's playing Gilmours' music so naturally he should sound a little like him.

Speaking as someone who has actually seen said guitarist 'in the flesh', as it were, I have to say that, no matter what he was wearing, he was pretty bloody good at recreating 'that' sound. I wasn't totally swayed by his vocals, being that they often came across as 'a bit Canada, a bit whiney', but, when it comes down to it, he does a pretty bloody good job.

What were YOU wearing the last time you played onstage alongside Roger Waters?

Cheers,

Mark
