I'm gonna cut it into little pieces
Echoes, that is. All the other "big" Floyd songs have subdivisions. And I have chosen to use the sections of 2001 that they correspond to. And yer gonna sit down, and yer gonna like it, understood?

The Monolith (0:00 - 2:58) Intro
Leaving Discovery (2:58 - 5:24) Vocal Section 1
Through the Stargate (5:24 - 7:01) Guitar Solo
Among Galaxies (7:01 - 11:25) Jam Session
Planetary Visions (11:25 - 14:41) Seagulls, ambience
The Hotel Room (14:41 - 19:12) Band Re-emerges
The Last Supper (19:12 - 21:18) Vocal Section 2
Rebirth (21:18 - 23:27) End

I have a 200mb MPEG of the whole synch if anyone is interested. I think I got it perfectly right... there's a really creepy synch at 6:20.

yeah, i just rented 2001 and was curious about when exactly to start Echoes during the Jupiter and Beyond the Infinite sequence...can anybody help?

Unfortunately, I lost it when my hard drive got wiped.

There's a decent version of it floating around on kazaa, you can start with that.

I use the DVD, but unfortunately it's the crappy old version, not the shiny new remastered edition.
