Why do people give Syd more credit than the rest of the band

I always wonder this. Why does Syd Barrett get not only as much, but more credit that Roger, Nick, Dave and Richard?
Like Syd wasn't there for Dark side, Animals, wish you were here, and The Wall. Yes The Piper at th Gates of Dawn was amazing, but it doesnt deserve the same amount of credit as the after Syd era. In my eyes that was the best Pink Floyd era.

By the way, I LOVE SYD BARRETT(so don't take this post the wrong way)
