another pointless question from me
ok first open the pic i attached. i was wondering if anyone could tell me the proper name for the thing around his neck. its not just a scarf or a tie is it? does it have a certain name. i've seen many people wearing these and i have no idea what to call them. thank you for putting up with this question.

It looks to me like a "neckerchief" like the ones we used to have in the Boy Scouts.

Once, I heard someone refer to things like that as a cravat, but then, perhaps they were lost for words as well.

I think it is either just a scarf or a cravat. Cravat sound pretty good to me
