No, Gerry, I haven't a Leslie for it. I'm going to go cry now.

If ya want the hammond B-3 sound (and the leslie) try Korg BX-3 or Clavia Nord Electro 2.. Both do exelent hammond emitations (way better than any Roland shit you might find). They are net as expensive as an origianal B-3, which probarbly would cost your 5000-6000£, they are available for about 1200£ (in Denmark that is). Just find your way to a store and try them out, og check the websites for a mp3 demo

Cool B-3

The B-3 is without a doubt one of the best sound keyboards ever. It just has such a great sound. Anybody heard Derek and the Dominos Live at the Filmore? Bobby Whitlock's organ sound is so matalic sounding yet so fluid and melodic. Awesome sounding instrument
I know many people who still play B-3s and you can probably learn how to play them from that, but you can learn more about it just by watching keyboardists like Billy Preston and people. The C-3 is the closest sound you'll ever get to a hammond, but the one thing is that it doesn't use a Leslie, but a speaker. (A leslie, in case you don't know is the rotorary speaker used to give the organ a swishing sound).
Unfortunatley, my guitar player HATES the sound of the B-3 because she thinks it's too retro! ?????????? I think my guitar player needs to stop smoking so much dope. My bass player gives me a better reason thinking it sounds too much like church. Which doesn't make a lot of sence, because the keys used in church sound emensely different than the ones used in jazz.

C-3s can use Leslies... since B-3s and C-3s are the same thing, only in different cases. (Maybe you meant M-3, which does have a speaker and sounds the most like a B-3 for cheap. I have one, actually... it's lovely!)

The only Hammonds I can think of that *need* Leslies or a seperate tone cabinet are the B-models, the C-models, the RT-models, and the original Hammond Model A. And a handful of other earlier models as well. The rest have built-in speakers, although one can get a connection kit for use with a proper Leslie.
