That's the thing, as you know very well: it takes all kinds to make a world.

Yeah, go ahead and make fun of me.

Unlike you "completists" I don't have any bootlegs or Live Ummagumma, so the only other versions of AD I have is on Saucerful and the studio Umma....I enjoy Syd's guitar noodlings on SFoS, and Dave's on Umma, but Dave's solo on the Pulse version KICKS ASS.

Speaking of RoIO's, ...ummm...anyone want to kick tires?

Well, you're on a PC so it has to be as easy for you to download AD as it was for me when I downloaded the BBC session today with Syd "ooh ooh oohing" to beat the band. So, quit yer bitchin'.

It is very good and the sound quality is crystal clear.

p.s. Um..."kick tyres"?

Re: Do you still have a PULSE?

Good point. my brain is fried after a long day's work. (best excuse I can think of for being stupid) Look out AudioGalaxie, here I come.

"Kick Tires": old used-car dealer expression for haggling out a deal.

Re: Do you still have a PULSE?

I got PULSE immediately after I saw it advertised and it is amazing in my opinion. Sadly the LED went out after I purchased the Echoes compilation, which I took to mean that the PF light is out therefore no future releases. It lasted a good time though so I'm not going to change the battery because it would not be the same as when I first bought it .

Still the performance is excellent because you feel as if you really are there (esp. if the volume is turned way up!) but its still not a patch on going to a live concert.

Re: Do you still have a PULSE?

wellllll... I was only 9 when PULSE came out... that's around the time I got into Floyd but I didn't buy any albums until Dark Side and Wish You Were Here in 1998.

True. There is something disturbing about that pic... My eyes aren't that good...... does that broad have a 5 o'clock shadow? "She" looks like Bono with tits.

Re: Do you still have a PULSE?

Stratman, don't feel so alone--though it's a close call, I think the PULSE version of AD is either my favourite or very close.

Anyway, Red Bull, MY PULSE light is still on. So don't use THAT as a reason to say they won't tour. Maybe they will, maybe they won't. We don't know. But don't be so pessimistic!
