Re: Do you still have a PULSE?

Pink Floyd knows if the light is still blinking or not. If we all have our lights blinking then they will tour again, but not until they are all on and blinking in syncronicity.

I replaced my batteries in 98' when it started getting dim. I am on my 3rd set. The second set was used so they didn't last very long. Had it in my car for a while too, kinda resembles a car alarm. But now it is on my cd shelf. Every now and then someone will ask me what that blinking light is and I tell them its a camera hehe then they go investigate and find out its not. The it gets played.
The next thing you know evryone is stoned hehe

Re: Do you still have a PULSE?

Why would someone want to play the "it". You are talking about PULSE, aren't you?

misspelled "then". Log into database and then send to Heaven where the spelling of all your posts on the Internet will be evaluated and then used to determine whether or not you get in.

Re: Do you still have a PULSE?

I finally broke down and changed the battery a few weeks ago--and that was only because I figured seven-year-old batteries could do some damage if they leaked. They already looked corroded around the ends.

Despite that, the PULSE never died...I wonder how many more years I could've got out of those batteries (barring leakage)?

But now it blinks as brightly as when I first got it. I wonder if I can get another seven years out of THESE batteries?

Re: Do you still have a PULSE?

And yet, you still went on to listen some more. Amazing. The total mediocrity of the thing didn't discourage you from finding some great music.

Re: Do you still have a PULSE?

How do you change the battery anyway? I've never done it without being tempted to tear the box open.... which I do not want.

What battery does it take?

It was also one of my first intro Floyds as well, after Delicate Sound. I still think its brilliant, not mediocre at all.

Re: Do you still have a PULSE?

Just reach your fingers into the opening at grab the flap that's about 3/4" from the end, and pull it out. Then pull on the metal lip at the bulb end to remove. Takes 2 AA batterys and 1 minute.

Re: Do you still have a PULSE?

Red Bull, do check first to see which version you have. The instructions for the American and European ones are drastically different. Stratman has given you the instructions for the American verison.

Re: Do you still have a PULSE?

Wow, there is a helluva difference. Changing the batt on the Euro model is akin to brain surgery. And the Euro only uses 1 battery, so it probably craps out quicker.
I also noticed the design on the discs is different from the American version. Thankfully, same great sound!

Re: Do you still have a PULSE?

Marginally off topic, but does anyone know where each disc of PULSE was recorded. On my version it just says "London and Europe". Europe's a pretty big place.
