The beatles were right there in Abby Road and they knew floyd was the 'new thing' in London. John Lennon is in the pink floyd crowd in the video 'PF '66-'67.'

Brian Wilson once buttered his entire head at a dinner party and placed it between 2 slices of bread.

Re: the beatles

Sure it is, if you bother reading all that trite. Just ignore it and listen to the music.

Re: the beatles

Even if there are certain songs that "resemble" each other...or if you hear influences of this band's music in another band's music...Personally, I think that is pretty cool. It shows that a great band like the Beatles, had respect and admired Pink Floyd. Same with the Beach Boys, vice versa, vice versa... Wasn't it one of the members of The Who who used to record albums with Led Zepplin? I would have to say, that Pink Floyd would consider it a compliment. Same goes for the other bands...could be wrong...but then again, you never know...

Re: the beatles

Just wanted to let those know who are interested, that I just finished reading an interview with David Gilmour. In it he states that he believed Roger was influenced by John Lennon's first solo album, prior to the making of DSOTM...Also, he states the he is a big Beatles fan...Just thought you might find that interesting...You meanies...picking on the Beatles..

Page picked up the name for the band from Keith Moon's description of a bad gig going over like a, "Led Zeppelin". I don't know if any of them recorded together, it is possible.

Re: the beatles

Hey Wing...I was referring to recordings done at Headley Grange...I think my memory may be serving me false though...still researching, but I think I must have The Who confused with someone else who used to drop by....sorry

Re: the beatles

don't worry about it.

And I guess I just think the Beatles were pretty good, but, it is afterall just my opinion, you certainly don't have to consider it.

Re: the beatles

Bob Hoskins had the right idea in The Long Good Friday (it was the idea that wasn't 'I'll take on the IRA'):

"I'll crush them like Beetles".

Well said.

Shit phone adverts not featuring Maureen Lipman or a cartoon bird,

Mark
