best song on the "MORE" album

No. I have never been able to figure out KaZaA, so steered clear of it.

I now use WinMX which is much better than Morpheus and not so resource hungry as eDonkey2000.

I voted for "Cirrus Minor." A very good Floyd song. A very good reason. Main Theme and Cymbaline are close runners up.

Yeah, Cirrus Minor is a great Floyd song. I'm happy to see it's running in 2nd place, and very close to the 1st!

Are the films 'More' and 'Zabriskie Point' actually any good?
The latter was on tv in the UK a few weeks ago but and i planned to record it, but i forgot all about it at the critical hour and missed it! ARGHHR

I just thought you'd like to know this little tidbit:

Whenever newish Floyd fans come to me and ask what albums they should get, I always answer "All of 'em!"

But when they press for better detail, I always recommend MORE as one of the top choices, for these reasons, among others too numerous to list:

1) I can pretty well rest assured it won't have anything they've ever heard, and will be an all-new experience for them.

2) It's utterly groovy, man (and yes, I used that phrase LOOOOONG before Austin Powers came into the pop-culture picture)!

3) I really dig most of it, and I always have to laugh when I hear "Spanish Piece".

I figured that you'd appreciate this, above all the others on these boards.

I voted for Cymbaline, and Crying Song. There is a simplicity about it (CS)that appeals to me. I like the way it flows, peacefully.

I liked your reasons for recommending MORE, very much so the first one, but definitely the second. Your newbies should thank you profusely that you pointed them in the proper direction for Floyd fanaticism.

Your third choice was typical of a GilmourWhore, so I will say nothing further on that matter, except to agree.

I do really like this album, it took awhile for me to get "used" to it, it was the first early Floyd album I bought but that was years ago and now I see it for the masterpeice it is. I voted for The Nile Song. Dave is using his heavy metal screaming voice and he doesn't do that very often, it's really quite effective. If I could vote for two the other would be Cymbaline, it's just a beautiful, haunting song but it can't complete with Dave screaming.

I swear this is true.

I picked my wife up from work the other day and I had More on the cd player, one of the instrumental pieces was playing when she got in the car (I forget which one) and she said something along the lines of :

"What the hell is this? It sounds like the music from some crappy film from the '60's!"

She couldn't understand why I was so amused - until I put her straight!

More... the film that is... is really really really really bad. It's worse than La Vallee even. But I've never even seen Zabriskie Point.
