You know what's funny...
Mine didn't come with a recipe...

However, a friend of mine got it and I was able to see it.
It is indeed amusing.

It has to be Fat Old Sun, that song makes me feel happy again, after a long period of depression (of course, it's effect only lasts the length of the song )

I'd put Summer '68 second, as it was previously my favourite...

If and AHM come joint third.

Alan's... comes last, even though i always listen to it, and really enjoy it. I do think it's a good song, it's just a little empty at times.

Thor, I assume you voted for FOS? I guess you and I were the original 2.

I just reviewed your early post on this thread, and decided you must have voted for the title track, although you were slamming it a bit. (as I did also)---I know it's not necessarily any of my business, but I was curious.

I wonder what happened to your buddies Barrett Fan and "mouseboy" (Gerald)....they seem to have vanished. They both posted last on May 10. Coincidence? Or did they run off together? I know Gerald was always looking for someone to hug. (or brawl with)

If they both left on the same day they must be one and the same!!!

The genius has spoken.

You may well be right, genius. I guess it wouldn't be the first time. Apparently that "Wrightkeys" dude was posting under 2 names so he could tell himself how great he was. Sure seems like a waste of time, though.....

You're right about that, Thor, but it's just the other side of the same coin.

Guys, I did some checking, and if they did depart on the same day it is just a freaky coincidence.

Without revealing anything, it was very clear they were hundreds of miles away from each other.

I chose "If", although it was hard to choose.
I think I like the whole album. One could argue that it is altogether rather "empty" or like Dave said, they didn't have any ideas. The Atom Heart Mother suite actually suffers from this, but in general I find this kind of emptiness an integral part of the album's atmosphere.
Hm, come to think of it; in the case of If and Alan's Psychedelic Breakfast the "emptiness" transforms into something different, but I cannot put my finger on it.

"If" has touched me most so far, both lyrically and musically. The very simple and soft music underlines the lyrics very well.
Second choice would be Alan's Psychedelic Breakfast. For me it has just the mood I would like to have in the morning.
I like "Fat Old Sun" too. It is very beautiful, and so is Dave's voice there. It's just that personally I can connect more with the aforementioned two.
The Atom Heart Mother suite I find a bit dull at times, but it is ok. The voices are beautiful except when they do this kind of nonsense language (mmmmmmmmSA! rup-di!), which I find annoying.
I don't care much for "Summer '68". I don't feel there comes across a lot of atmosphere musically. Music and lyrics don't connect as well.

Interesting--I have the exact opposite reaction to "Summer '68". I absolutely LOVE adapting that song for the piano (a real one, not the keyboards), because I can really have some musical fun with it. But there's a moment with the Hammond organ, right before the first "How do you feel" that is just...heavenly. No other word!
