A Silver Surfer movie would be awesome, I remember the FOX tv cartoon in like 96 or so, lasted only a few episodes, but I thought it was, to steal a term from an illustrious member here, phucking phenomenal.

Thanks for reading my pointless rantings.

i think you can find the garbage pail movie on ebay for a hell of a lot of money. a transformers live action movie would be cool as well as a g.i. joe one. my two favorite cartoons when i was younger. oh yeah and tmnt. i think what they are doing with the hulk movie is keepin how he looks secret for awhile. i have seen no photos or anything on the internet. i don't remember a silver surfer cartoon but i do remember a fantastic four and a hulk cartoon around that time that used to be on upn and they sucked.

Re: Favorite Comic Based Movie

The Flash Gordon movie was quite irrelevant after Star Wars brought sci-fi into the 20th century. But the soundtrack was great.

As for Power Rangers, it was actually a Japanese weekly for kids. A guy over here, can't remember his name but the Wall Street Journal did a whole story on him, bought the rights to it. Edited out any parts with mouths moving (or skin color depending how you look at it) and replaced it with American actors. Basically he bought about 50 episodes and, due to the power of editing and non-union actors, has an unlimited number of episodes that can be aired on TV in the states.

Re: Favorite Comic Based Movie

well the x-men 2 movie comes out tomorrow and i'll definitely watch it. probably because i'm an x (get it) comic reader. there is probably some bias involved though.

p.s. i'm glad no one voted for spiderman.

You missed Judge Dredd, but that's ok, it was shite.

Anyone excited about the Watchman film rumblings?

Re: Favorite Comic Based Movie

Had to go with X-Men. I thought the movie was an excellent adaptation of the comic. Plus, the actors who portrayed the characters seemed fit for them.

No! It's none other than SUPERMAN!

No offense, but I hate Superman. You can't kill him! What is there to worry about? Plus, his motivation is too innocent. I like vengeful comic characters. As far as my favorite comic movie, The Crow definitely. Second is Batman, cuz well, Tim Burton rocks.
