Lightbulb That Gilmour Voice..

Ok...you've heard him when he was a young cat (dsotm, pompeii..) and you've all heard him now (momentary lapse, divisoin bell, pulse) Now which do you prefer?

I think the ooolder Dave is alot more vocally intune with his playing, but his voice has something about it that time cannot break...::sigh:

Thoughts?

Re: That Gilmour Voice..

AMLoR is 17 years old, DB is ten - I'd hardly call that "now".

Re: That Gilmour Voice..

DG and About Face are even older!
The most recent thing he's done is his live dvd from a couple of years ago, maybe you should use that as a reference.

Whatever you're into... I think you're taking being called Annie way too seriously...

Re: That Gilmour Voice..

They both have their different qualities - his younger voice is far sweeter and more relaxing, whereas his voice on later albums was a lot more mature.

Nowadays, it's just not what it used to be.

.....

I personally prefer his older voice, although, strangley enough, my favourite vocals from dave would be on wish you were here, singing "wish you were here", his voice is perfect on that song and for that song.
