I am currently listening to a cover of Jaques Brel's "My Death", as done by David Bowie, live in Boston, 1972.
Very haunting. And a good cover to boot, too (even though I haven't heard the original).

I felt the same way the first time I listened to 'Tommy'. Kind of boring, only a few things like Underture, Christmas, and We're Not Gonna Take It really impressed me the first time. But the album grew on my fast, and by the third listen I loved everything on it and still do. It just takes a bit to get used to. Of course, good as 'Tommy' is, I will always prefer The Who's Quadrophenia as my top album by them.

Also, since that was the original intent of this thread, I'm currently listening to 'Octopus'.
