| Re: What song are you listening to right now? Trust me, Stratman... The album is about ten times better than the movie. The Who are indeed great. I particularly enjoy "The Who Sell Out". What a good album. |

| Re: What song are you listening to right now? Who's Next is one of the greatest albums ever made...sounds especially great on vinyl for some reason. Quadrophenia is pretty good, too, as long as were on the topic of concepts. It's sad what happened to them after the years, though...I think they really died with Kieth Moon. And has anyone seen them lately? I recently bought a live gig of theirs in London around 2001...and also taped them off The Concert For New York this past year....man, Pete can still kick ass, John Entwistle is amazing, but for God's sake somebody put Roger Daltrey out of his misery!!!!! |

| Re: What song are you listening to right now? Well, maybe I give the "Tommy" album a listen, then. The only Who songs I know and like are: I Can See For Miles Behind Blue Eyes Wont Get Fooled Again Teenage Wasteland I Can't Explain I admit I haven't heard a lot of their stuff. The only Who album I have is "Meaty Beaty Big and Bouncy". On y'alls recommendations, I'll research their catalog further.

| Re: What song are you listening to right now? I've got "Meaty Beaty Big and Bouncy" on vinyl, it's a pretty good compilation. "I Can See For Miles" is from The Who Sell Out... that album was done in their 'psychedelic' phase. It turned out rather good. "Teenage Wasteland" is actually called "Baba O'Riley". I can understand your mistake, though... it's one of those odd songs where the title isn't in the lyrics... which is bound to leave a few people . "Baba O'Riley", "Behind Blue Eyes" and "Won't Get Fooled Again" are on Who's Next. Maybe you should pick up that one first. Either that or Tommy... don't pick up The Who Sell Out first, or you'll think the Who are weird! As if they aren't weird enough already... |

| Re: What song are you listening to right now? What I currently have playing in my head... "Seamus" I just got a slide today for my guitar, and "Seamus" (whatever you might say about it) is a prime example of the bottleneck-guitar style.

| Re: What song are you listening to right now? Ok in answer to this thread Just as I typed that sentence AC/DC's You shook me all night long finished and John Butler's Valley came on, that song makes me happy In response to the Who thing that seems to have devloped, I absolutley utterly adore Tommy. The album especially, movie wasn't as good but still I have to give it credit. I'll agree in saying that it is an extremely well planned concept album. Cheers

| Re: What song are you listening to right now? I think I'd recommend their first album, and the material that Pete wrote for the first album but turned up later. Also, for real fans of Tommy, I'd go for Happy Jack or also known as A Quick One, for pre-Tommy Townshend dabbles in conceptual songs Magic Bus is kind of misleading since there's no real live material...and just for the record, Who Are You is the best song, but not the best album. |

I know FloydWright gets all misty eyed over Home, but give a listen to Sunset Strip or The Tide Is Turning. I thought those were the best songs on KAOS. Oh yeah, right now I'm listening to Bryan Ferry's cover of A Hard Rain's A-Gonna Fall

| Re: What song are you listening to right now? Completely ignoring the humiliating praising of Eminem, I am currently listening to "Logical Song" by Supertramp off the Magnolia soundtrack. Nice soundtrack, even better film. |

What of it? ![]() BTW, I am currently listening to Effervescing Elephant - BARRETT. "...and the dirty hippopotamus who wallowed in the mud and chewed his spicy hippo plankton food..."
