| Re: A poem unlike Pink Maybe you're trying too hard. The trick is, if you're trying at all, it's too hard. Here, let me show you a little something, mind you this will take me like ten seconds to write and might not rhyme perfectly, observe though: The pantaloons glittered, and softly sang, A melody while chime bells rang, and as I looked into her mind, I saw no thoughts of dirty grime. I don't even remember writing this actually, and I just wrote it! Anyways, I can't write chord progressions for shit, so you have me beat in that department

| Re: A poem unlike Pink Yes, the only practicality of writing out of your ass is that it's good at first and then when you read it again you wonder why the hell you wrote it.Maybe it was a bad example I honestly pondered my other poetry for at least a half an hour before it was complete and really good.

| Re: A poem unlike Pink Quote:
Yeah, I have done the same stuff when writing short stories. I love the physical act of writing: forming words and sentences, using puncuation marks to change the mood of what you're saying, making terse dialog between two characters, etc. So, I often just write out a scene, out of the blue, just to get a good feeling for writing it. And very often, these little 3-paragraph bursts of writing make no sense. Sometimes, they're an inspiration to form something longer; but most of the time, I read it back and say, "What the hell is this?" One time, I wrote the one-page fiction story of a guy who bought a quadraphonic stereo system after being wowed over by a quad copy of Dark Side of the Moon. Odd, eh? Needless to say, I didn't have the time or want to expand it. Only when I actually sit back and think very hard about story ideas is when I get something good enough to expand on. But sadly, these ideas haven't been very forthcoming lately. I think I have a good ol' case of writer's block. Damn. |

| Re: A poem unlike Pink Hah, Nice timing you replied almost instantaneously. Yeah, I know what you mean. Sometimes I write what happens in dreams, I have some ****ed up memories of dreams (excuse my Effengo). You'd be surprised how much I can envision with one dream though... You just opened my eyes to writing new things now, though

| Re: A poem unlike Pink Thanks I think I tried to write a story about it back in seventh grade, but it was a rushed, forced story so it wasn't very good, but now that I have the time, I can describe my dream in more detail to the reader! Thank you for the good words though.
