I think see-saw by a mile, I believe it's one of the most beautiful sounding songs of all time, I'd love somebody like Radiohead to cover it using full strings. The first time I heard see-saw it brought tears to my eyes, I feel it's a song that Rick fully expresses his emotions on regarding Syd -"she grows up for another man" - class. I feel very bitter listening to this song, I hear the awe-inspiring vocal harmonies and think why aren't Floyd considered the greatest, why isn't Rick allowed/encouraged to write more songs, why don't the band recognise songs like remember a day, paintbox as brilliant. Is it modesty?

I think everyone frowns whilst listening to the first 8 minutes of SOS (title track) but the last 4 is sheer excellence!!!! ask Jacob Druckman! tension, war, and requiem in 12 minutes!

Jugband o.k. opening nice finish - Davy Jones locker is not enviable!

Remember a day - extremely pleasant.

Corporal Clegg - one of the reasons this isn't Floyd's best album.

Set the controls for the heart of the sun - probably the most well known song off SOS....live versions tend to be better. Pompeii?

First track? - let there be more light...hummmm....a rockier number, I like the atmospheric ending, opening makes an impression. Average Floyd.

I happen to love the Clegg song. It's very amusing. The song I like least on the record is the jugband song. I detest the "art" of
using jugs for music. Big jugs are for sucking on, not blowing in.

Yeah, spacecadet, I don't like Jugband Blues, either. I never liked that marching band in the middle. It sounds just...pretty bad to me. That last part is good, though, almost enough to bring a tear to the eye when you consider the circumstances surrounding it.

Definitely the title track. It's something beyond words for me.

It was a close-run thing between ASOS and STCFTHOTS for me, but ASOS just wins as it paved the way for longer pieces like Echoes. I've heard a couple of FANTASTIC live versions of LTBML but as the band stopped playing it early on I've no real idea of how it might have evolved...

Iīve voted Corpral Clegg... I donīt care of the other coments... I like that song over any of that record... just because is a happy/sad/stupid song... i like that kind of things, the The music is happy and kind of stupid ate the same time... but the lyrics are Sad... of course, not as sad as See-saw or Remember a Day.. but I like It... I like that mixture of feelings...

see saw is the weakest track on the album. it just doesn't get to me. Jugband blues, Barretts grand finale to the floyd, what a great ending. the acoustic part at the end of the song is just brilliant. and corporal clegg is really fun to play on guitar, with or without kazoos.
