Cant even vote. If you don't listen to this album all the way through you're stupid. Every track is great. It's like Darkside, you can't go through the album skipping tracks and finding your favorite track.

I agree. But with any Floyd recording, it isn't good to go skipping tracks, you'll miss too much, what is the point?? The only time I would advise skipping tracks is if you are pressed for time & it is some kind of emergency. Other than that, please, just listen to the whole album, no matter which one it is.

Astronomy Domine

Only really liked Astronomy Domine from the album, didn't really get into the other songs.

I like 'Flaming'; but I also find it remarkable that no one on this forum, to my knowledge, has ever made any jokes concerning the activity of 'sitting on a unicorn'.
So remarkable, in fact, it can`t be true.

Uhhhhhh, I really hope you're not taking the song in that direction. Flaming is a good tune, however.

I like Astronomy Domine---but I like Astronomy Domine on Ummagumma Live because it is almost twice as long. Isn't there a version somewhere that is 12 minutes??? On some London CD, aye??

Never mind, I was thinking of Interstellar Overdrive. Another catchy tune.

Cool Re: best song off of 'Piper at the gates of dawn'

I voted for Matilda Mother because of the little organ solo in the middle of it. I thinks it's awesome and I love it... that's all.

Re: best song off of 'Piper at the gates of dawn'

I like Lucifer Sam the best. It has a nice groove. It reminds me of old spy movies.

Take Up Thy Stethoscope and Walk is a close 2nd. It's always stuck in my head.

I love Astromony Domine too but I love the live version better so Lucifer Sam wins.
