Floyd helping the planet *PLS READ*

The following is an article by JAM! music.

They've inflated pigs, built giant walls onstage, and performed amid the ruins of Pompeii, but Pink Floyd's latest project may be their most ambitious yet: planting new forests.

The BBC reports that the band is undertaking the project to create enough vegetation to absorb the greenhouse gasses created by the manufacture of their new best-of CD, "Echoes."

The initiative is part of the Future Forests campaign, which is attempting to get the music industry involved in combatting global warming.

Deforestation reduces the number of trees that can absorb atmospherically-harmful greenhouse gasses, so planting new foliage will presumably make the production of something like "Echoes" "carbon-neutral," The BBC said.

Pink Floyd's forests will be planted in Chiapas, Mexico, Tensas River National Park in Louisiana, Bangalore, India, and Dryhope Burn in Scotland.

The album will be in stores on Tuesday (Nov. 6). If it sells more CDs than expected, the group has committed to plant even more forests to counteract the carbon dioxide emissions created by the manufacture and distribution of the album

Question GREEN Floyd?

The GREEN Floyd? No, sorry, I still see them as pink. Green is such a vomitous colour. And it doesn't have the same ring to it as PINK Floyd.

Green + Pink =

Red Bull gives you wings!

Green Floyd?

Maybe Pinko Floyd would be most accurate of all. Seems Dave is trying desperately to outflank Roger to the left. (which is tough to do)

What's Communist about that? You know, maybe he just wants to be nice.
