I used to love korn. I actually have all of their albums, but now, after listening to PF, i realize that its not music, its just plain noise. Their new cd, which, i must admit, i purchased, is one of the worst ones so far. They've stooped so low that they use the exact same guitar riff as well as the drum pattern for 5 or 6 songs. Maybe I should have seen that before wasting $100 on their records.

One thought, Didn't these guys used to be good?

Though I did like Garage Days, or Inc or whatever the hell its called. Even though none of its original, its Motorhead, played better than Motorhead.

Piper@Gates, in this recreation of Hell that you are located at, I can imagine the sound. In addition to the screaming, the torture, and the ouch is the sound of Korn. Now, if the band were performing there in person, a lot could be explained about Hell. The reason why there is so much screaming: Jon Davis lifted his kilt. :o The torture: Being bombarded with the noise of the band. The ouch: Being trampled to death in the mosh pit that is right across the ring of lava that separates the audience from the stage. Yeah.

It's "Garage Inc."---good album, I agree.

I beg your pardon...Disc 2 has parts subtitled Garage Days revisited '84 & re-revisited '87.

Re: Is Rock Dead? Sub-question: Is it better to burn out than to fade away?

Actually, Garage inc, or whatever it's called is a pretty shoddy collection of every single cover rendered by Metallica (minus their live version of 'Symptom of the universe', unfortunately). Although the $5,98 Garage EP and all the Cliff Burton stuff is totally fantastic + the couple of B sides from the '...Justice...' period, are pretty light on their feet, just about everything that isn't either of these things smells pretty shit. The Motorhead covers are unbelievably shite and only the Thin Lizzy cover actually hasn't actually had it's memory pissed on.

More money, less hair. More cock, less chair.

Hey i just wanted to say that Different people have different opinions....Some of you Devoted fans of Floyd are trashing Korn..when i'm sure some devoted fans of Korn are trashing Floyd...but i think that everyone should respect everyone else's opinion..if we did that we'd have a whole lot more peace in the world...i'm not trying to sound like a bitch but I'm a very huge fan of floyd but i'm also a fan of Korn..not as big a fan to Korn as i am Floyd but you see what i'm saying...anyways...i'm sorry if i offened anyone...i had no intention of doing that...i was just stating my poinion...thanks!

Re: Is Rock Dead? Sub-question: Is it better to burn out than to fade away?

oh!i wanted to add that i saw someone said that Korn is just noise..well...as i said different people have different opinons..just like music..music can be anything....a child tapping on a pan...a cat's meow...a dag barking...anything that has anykind of rythem can be considered music..i think that we should just listen to what we want to and let others do the same..keep our negitive comments and thoughts to ourselves.....again..if i offended anyone i'm sorry i had no intetion on doing that...thanks again!

Re: Is Rock Dead? Sub-question: Is it better to burn out than to fade away?

Im guessing some of that is aimed at me, but im not offended so stop appologizing! Way back, i used to be a big fan of Korn; bought all their merchindise, all albums, listened to them vividly. But it was only after listening to pink floyd have i discovered for myself what real music is; and Korn it is not. I know you like 'em, so i wont bash them, for some of their older songs are still good (Blind, Freak on a Leash, Somebody someone, etc), im simply stating my opinion as you were. Oh, and you were completely right about music being anything from a cat's meow to a child crying, that is why i shall take back my statement about it being just noice a bad thing. (although it still is for me).
Still friends?
