Yeah, Sydney, "ATH" was one tedious, overbearing dude (in the aforementioned thread). I think he creates more harm than good for his cause by being so annoying. If your lurking, ATH, for future reference, don't post lengthy articles from medical journals and expect anyone to remain awake, let alone actually read them.

As I recall, I stepped out of it early on because it didn't interest me beyond my first answer.

I guess...I just hope that didn't sour this board to all Christians, just because some behave inappropriately.

I just re-read that whole thread. I have to say that I pretty much agreed with the points Bud (ATH) was trying to make. Unfortunately, I think he was a little overbearing, and overcooked his case with those boring recitations from Med journals....and posting 3 or 4 times a minute apart is annoying; but he was being attacked from 3 sides---so he was a tad frenzied.
Also, I don't think Bud "cast the first stone". On page one "twat" insulted him with the remark about churchgoers. But then Bud coyily pretended he didn't know why....Bud knows perfectly well that with a "signature" like that, you're going to get some heat for being a Christian. After all, it's the only group in the world that is OK to make fun of and remain "politically correct". That and maybe being a white male.
Anyway, as Sydney plead, let's not let this thread veer into the realm of religious argument.

Yeah, that's what I thought. Rhiggatwat started the whole religious thing, but this Bud guy knew what he going to get into.

I just want to change my stance on alcahol, having drunk another ridiculous amout of vodka at a party (and id not had anything to eat for about 8 hours), long story short, i had a very serious bust up with my g/f and friends, and its gona take a lot 2 sort out. This was all caused because of my 'behaviour' under the influence. I was also v.v.v.sick for the next 2 days. I have had many many fun nights with alcahol so im not going to start bashing it but id like to say to everyone BE SENSIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!! otherwise u'll pay 4 it! Im going to leave it alone for a while...

Who do you have to blame for starting that horrible thread?

Hey, ya don't have to apologise. It entertained many, I'm sure. And I'm sure Sydney wasn't forced to read it. I would guess Syd's problem with "un-named person" spread over many threads. Un-named person did seem to be full of himself.

To Ben: good decision/advice. Hope others heed it. Making oneself sick and obnoxious is not the best way to have fun.
