Avatars

Hey,

May be a stupid question, but I can't get an avatar. There aren't any listed when I look where it's designated, and I'm not technically advanced enough to find anything on my own. Thus, any help in laymen's terms would be greatly appreciated.

Try this way. Find an image you like, post it on this thread and ask some good floyd friend to resize it for you!

We plan on having some default avatars so people can choose from them, but there are a lot of things on our "to do" list that this is kinda backlogged...

Yes, there were, as a matter of fact. However, I have tried to reach Patrick (Charade I Am) several times with no success. He is probably busy with his own life. In the meantime, I removed his status as a moderator to avoid problems. Whenever he comes back, he'll be more than welcome to be a moderator again, if he wishes so.

Taking thorin's advice of posting a potential avatar pic and having a friendly Floydian here reduce it to size for you is a bonza idea.

Or, you can use this one below I resized earlier when I was deciding upon my current avatar, then abandon it when/if you find a more suitable image. It's not very exciting but it DOES have a PF provenance.

The image is the rower, perhaps Pink himself, who can be seen in one of the central pictures of the Echoes: Best Of... album cover art.

I suspect this image, or character was used on one of the post-Waters Floyd albums.

The "rower" comes from the artwork of A Momentary Lapse Of Reason, you can find it in the CD booklet and on the video for Signs Of Life.

hey, this is straying off subject..but on the Echoes cover (for what I guess would be..disc 1) where the red veil from I suppose WYWH is falling like...is there an arm there holding it up, extended from below frame, or is that just a shadow from the window sill?
