"At the End of the Day (Naive Drawn Out Rhyme)"

Come all within and rumble
See the chain of hands crumble
Stand cruel and mean
But, they say it's just words on a screen.
Tear down each other's feelings
Some find it very appealing
Severing the ties
Demolishing anyone who breaks down and cries.
This issue is argued for hire
Offending with friendly fire
Return to sender
But I will fall before I surrender.
Tonight, I felt a sense of joy
And breathed relief, oh boy
Don't bother me anymore
I broke out of this metaphorical war.
Well slander me as you please
I still think you're the bee's knees
I hate to burst your bubble
But I know you'd rescue me if I was in trouble.
I'd do the same for you
You may not think it's true
I may be in my teens
But, you know, we're still human beings.
No debate reall matters
To this lonely mad hatter
It's all good
In a way we're all just misunderstood.
Color you unimpressed
How could I have guessed?
The narrow mind
Is never very hard to find.
I may not be getting paid
To have my messages deleted
No reason to get out of shape
Just cover my keyboard in layers of duct tape.
Someday we'll both pass on
These words will all be long gone
But we'll be fine
Though we got different theories on the other side.
You may think this has no point
As does everyone in this joint
But you know me
Maybe I'll just let it be.
But I got one thing to say
That at the end of the day
Religion and politics are last on my mind
So we can get along while there's still time.

"Can't we all just get along?" -Rodney King

Co-Written by Monty Syracuse & Bud Sturguess (It took two people to write this chunk of dribble?)In a way we're all just misunderstood.
