Air....

Which one of these instruments do you 'play'?

Do you get annoyed with people who 'play' them?

Do you do it alone or in front of people?

I'm sooo ashamed!

I've played the first four AIR instruments a lot. People get annoyed when I do, but hell, I keep doing it!
As for my being annoyed with other people, I don't really get annoyed when others play AIR instruments.

Just out of curiosity, just what is an 'AIR Sac'?

-Shane

Sorry to LOLing at your mistake, Bertin... but I find that funny for some reason!

Sadly, I do not play AIR sax. But I do play AIR horn and violin when Atom Heart Mother moves me enough.

Fixed the "Air Sax" for you!

I play Air Keyboards the most frequently...I can only imagine how I look when I'm doing ABITW 2 (ITAOT, of course!), with my headphones on...not to mention the fact I'm "dancing". And there's a reason I put "dancing" in quotes. Because it is NOTHING like dancing. But even when I'm sitting, I LOVE plaing Air Keyboards.

Air Drums come next...that's a lot of fun, even though I know I'm doing it completely wrong. I am not a drummer, and I never will be. But I like the SOUND of drums.

I play Air Guitar on occasion, but not so often (even though I'm learning the instrument!). I've played guitar in dreams--but I don't play Air Guitar all that frequently.

For some reason, I don't do the other two.

But you play the best one!

Keyboards are THE most versatile instrument, in my opinion--especially since a quality synth can substitute for most instruments (though I think guitar is best played with the real thing).

But that's from someone who was RAISED on keyboard instruments!

yes i quite agree. a synth can go a long way. but i wouldn't mind ripping out an awesome solo or playing that snare like gene krupa or some other jazz drummer who did that.

Not a big user of the air instruments

I am what is defined to e and my friends as a dattuck

Dattuck - One who constantly performes drum solos on their knees

If anyone has ever had the extreme privelige of coming across a wonderful publication titled "The deeper meaning of liff" They will know what I am talking about.
The authors of this wonderful book decided to take names of towns around the world (mainly around GB actualy) make them words and give them meanings
Some wonderful examples include

Farnham - The feeling you get at about 4 o'clock in the afternoon when you haven't got enough done

Clingman's Dome - The condition in which it becomes impossible to put on a tie correctly when in a hurry to an important meeting

Hobarris - (medical) a sperm which carries the high risk of becoming a bank manager

Kalami - The ancient eastern art of being able to fold road maps properly

Kingston Bagpuise - A fourty yr old sixreen stone man trying to commit suicide by jogging

Liniclate - All stiff and achey in the morning and trying to remeber why

and so on, I think you get the picture, anyhoo sorry bout that my dear Floydians

cheers

I guess I am a 'dattuck', also.
Since drums are my primary instrument of choice, I am always praticing by hitting desks, my knees, furniture... anything that I can hold a beat on.
